a presidential primary or caucus. Delegates will be selected
during a week-long period tentatively ending on February
7, but they will not be committed to any candidates as part
of the vote.

January 26, 2008 is the last day to register to vote in
the presidential preference primary. (10 days before the
election). Applications must be postmarked or delivered

Illinois
January 8, 2008 is the last day to register to vote for
the 2008 presidential preference primary. There is also
a Grace Period Registration and Voting that runs from January

Indiana
April 7, 2008 is the last day to register to vote before

Iowa
Eligible Iowans may register to caucus with the Democratic
or Republican party on the evening of the caucus at the
caucus location, or prior to the caucus date if registration
application is delivered by 5 p.m. 10 days before the election,
if it is a state primary or general election; 11 days before
all others. Registration forms which are postmarked 15 or
more days before an election are considered on time even

January 16, 2008 is the last day to register before the
primary. Eligible Minnesotans can also register to vote
at the polling place on Election Day, or prior to this by

Montana
May 5 is the close of regular voter registration for the
June 3, 2008 primary election.
NOTE: If you miss this deadline, you may still register
under late registration procedures by showing up at the
local election office up to and including on election day,
filling out and submitting a voter registration card, and

Nebraska
April 25, 2008 is the deadline to register to vote in the

The deadline to register for the Republican caucus is December
