Voto Latino is a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 2004 by actress Rosario Dawson under the leadership of Executive Director Maria-Teresa Kumar. Voto Latino seeks to maximize American Latino youth civic involvement by generating voter turnout and increasing political involvement among this group. Voto Latino’s work ranges from grassroots voter registration drives to multimedia pop culture awareness campaigns that serve one goal: to enfranchise young Latinos in American society.
